Bees Galore 3- Frame Nucleus Colonies

Nucleus hives, or nucs, are made by dividing existing colonies in the early spring. Each nuc is given a queen and given time to establish themselves. We work with our best northern survivor stock to create spring nucs for you. When you receive your nuc it will consist of 3 deep frames with a combination of brood, honey, and pollen and little space for expansion. Because there is brood present and young bees emerging, your nucs will build up more quickly than packages and need to be transferred to full a size equipment immediately. They will be ready for a second brood box within a few weeks of installation. Note: for an additional $10.00 you can have your queen marked with a “red dot” for 2023 identification.
